Largest prescribers

First 5 of 100 by claims · 2024

Two separate records. Claims come from Medicare and related payments from Open Payments. They are shown in one row because they name the same product; they do not show that a payment affected a prescription.

The prescribers with the most Part D claims of this drug in 2024
Prescriber Specialty State Claims Drug cost Related payments
Rupa Subramanian Hematology-Oncology CA 149 $2,133,691 None on record
Susan Newman Hematology-Oncology TN 146 $2,118,130 $8
Ruemu Birhiray Hematology-Oncology IN 143 $2,105,854 $15,918
Christina Bi Pharmacist CA 133 $2,171,999 No profile
Seth Cohen Hematology-Oncology NJ 133 $1,761,754 None on record

"No profile" means the prescriber has no Open Payments record here; "None on record" means no payment naming this product in the payment year. Related payments are general payments, and one that names several products is split evenly, so an amount is payments related to the product, not money paid for it. The list is the prescribers with the most claims, up to 100 per drug.

Industry payments naming this drug

From CMS Open Payments

Open Payments names products as manufacturers reported them, and CMS does not link them to Part D drugs, so this match is by name and ours. The two records are separate: they do not show that a payment affected a prescription.

What this means

Medicare Part D is the part of Medicare that covers prescription drugs dispensed at a pharmacy. Each year CMS publishes, for every prescriber and drug, how many claims were dispensed and what they cost. This page adds those up for one drug.

A claim is one prescription filled, refills included. Drug cost is the total paid at the pharmacy by Medicare, the patient and anyone else; it is not money to the prescriber. CMS leaves out any prescriber with fewer than 11 claims of a drug, so the prescriber count is a floor and a missing prescriber does not mean none.

Part D covers drugs dispensed to Medicare beneficiaries at a pharmacy. It does not include drugs given in a clinic or hospital, patients with other insurance, or the most recent year, which Medicare publishes about two years behind.
